The mission of the Carpet and Rug Cleaners Institute of Illinois (CRCII) is to advance and improve the carpet cleaning and restoration industry by motivating members to achieve the highest standards of professionalism, consumer service, and ethical behavior.
What the Institute does
The mission of the Carpet and Rug Cleaners Institute of Illinois (CRCII) is to advance and improve the carpet cleaning and restoration industry by motivating members to achieve the highest standards of professionalism, consumer service, and ethical behavior. The CRCII shall provide opportunities for professional development, beneficial relationships, business success, and industry promotion.
CRCII is a member association. Its members are carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, rug cleaning and restoration companies across Illinois, together with the Associate members who supply and serve them. The Institute itself does no cleaning: it brings the trade together, keeps members current, and holds them to a written code of ethics.
CRCII is now presenting webinars available to all carpet cleaning companies throughout Illinois so that we are a "true" Illinois association. We are also planning on having meetings in other parts of Illinois. Please contact our office if anyone is interested in hosting a meeting in their area.

Opportunities to network
CRCII is committed to promoting on-going communications between our members, both active and vendor or associate. Through our regularly scheduled meetings, held approximately every other month, and by our participation in the two annual Experience events, we promote an interaction between our members in a business and social atmosphere.

Membership directory
For all Active and Associate Members there is a complete directory which includes all contact information: name, address, phones that are provided, email address, a list of services provided and a link to their website. By using the CRCII website, consumers can find cleaners who provide the services they need.

Educational opportunities
We work closely with our Associate members to promote educational opportunities to our membership. We're not in the teaching business but we offer all opportunities to educate our members through quality professional speakers and our Associate network.

Many of the meetings and events held through CRCII qualify for IICRC continuing Education Credits.

The members of the Carpet & Rug Cleaners Institute of Illinois pledge to:
- Conduct our business affairs with honesty and integrity, never resorting to unfair trade practices that might reflect poorly not only on our association, but the entire cleaning industry.
- Strive to provide the highest professional standards of workmanship and quality services to our clients and customers.
- Avoid false promises, misleading advertising, misrepresentations of our products or services, or any other promotion that might lead to misconceptions that may affect our customers.
- Hold above all else honesty and professional workmanship in all customer relations.
- Continually augment the competency of our workforce and develop proficiency by offering and attending relevant training programs.
- Be open in sharing with fellow association members of our knowledge and experience for the benefit of all said members and the advancement of our industry.
- Give preferential consideration in purchasing to associate members/vendors of CRCII.
- Look for ways to become directly involved in CRCII committees and other activities.
Upcoming certification classes
CRCII members can take IICRC certification classes hosted with Contractors Network & Training Center in Rosemont, near O'Hare. Dates for 2027 are being set now.
Ask about the next class- Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)IICRC certification class. Rosemont, IL. 2027 dates to be announced.
- Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)IICRC certification class. Rosemont, IL. 2027 dates to be announced.
